Terekhol fort is one of the famous and oldest forts in Goa. It stands guard on the bank of the river Terekhol. It was built by the king of Sawantwadi. It is surrounded by the peaceful and beautiful environment on all the sides giving it a nice look. It is very magnificient in its structure and has also got a heritage hotel inside it. It has become a major tourist attraction and ultimately a perfect picnic spot. It is also known for its glorious history and scenic beauty and has been described as an important landmark of Goa.
